Sewer and Watermain Technician

You will perform various technical tasks, including the inspection of service connection points, drainage systems according to current standards and regulations.

You will also carry out various technical and analytical tasks, surveys, and inspections necessary for the development of technical compliance or non-compliance reports for various installations related to wastewater collection networks, stormwater collection networks including stormwater management facilities (OGEP), potable water distribution networks, and service connections such as:

• Participate in the planning of upgrading and maintenance projects for stormwater infrastructure including OGEPS;
• Conduct inspections and technical surveys on-site using surveying tools for OGEPS and stormwater networks;
• Participate in the development of a preventive maintenance program for stormwater management infrastructure including OGEPS;
• Participate in estimating maintenance and upgrading costs for OGEPS;
• Monitor the execution of contracts on-site;
• Ensure that the work meets contract specifications and identify deficiencies;
• Produce site reports and project follow-ups;
• Ensure operational coordination of actions with various City Services;
• Contribute to the implementation of policies in the field of stormwater management;
• Address citizen requests for the entire service.

• Education acquired through a college diploma (DEC) in civil engineering;
• Have four (4) years of relevant experience in the role, as described in the summary above;
• Hold a valid driver's license and have a vehicle;
• Possess an ASP card.
