Job Description

Job Title: Production Foreman – Residential Construction
Location: Estrie
Job Type: Full-time
Sector: Residential Construction / Modular Production / Manufacturing Plant
Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 depending on experience
Job Summary
Do you have experience in construction, know how to manage field teams, understand plans, manufacturing techniques, and would like to play a leadership role in a more stable environment than a traditional job site?

We are looking for a production foreman to join a well-established Quebec company active in manufactured residential construction. The role is based in Estrie, in a modern, structured, and 100% on-site production environment.

Here, the position does not correspond to a classic site foreman role. The selected person will not have to manage purchases, deliveries, permits, subcontractors, or progress billing. The role is focused on supervising production operations, managing team leaders, ensuring quality execution, training, and improving work methods.

This is a great opportunity for someone who knows construction well, enjoys field leadership, wants to share their knowledge, and is looking for a concrete, human, and structured role in a more stable and predictable environment than a job site.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise production stages on the floor
  • Support team leaders and assist employees on a daily basis
  • Plan team work according to production priorities
  • Ensure that work is completed within the required deadlines
  • Validate manufacturing techniques and work compliance
  • Ensure adherence to plans, quality standards, and internal methods
  • Collaborate on optimizing work methods
  • Train employees and share best practices
  • Maintain a good team atmosphere and exercise motivating leadership
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety rules at work
  • Follow up on operations and tasks to be completed
  • Be present on the floor almost all the time to support production
Desired Profile:
  • Relevant experience in construction
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the industry
  • Experience in field team management
  • Residential profile highly prioritized
  • Experience in multi-family or institutional considered an asset
  • Good plan reading skills
  • Good measuring skills
  • Good understanding of rough construction / framing techniques
  • Knowledge of the Building Code or ability to refer to it effectively
  • Strong and motivating leadership
  • Ability to train, guide, and advance employees
  • Rigor, organizational skills, and good judgment
  • Ability to keep pace in a production environment

On a human level, we are looking for someone who is present, structured, and unifying. A person capable of managing team leaders, maintaining control over operations, fostering a good atmosphere, and consistently moving things forward.

The role may be particularly interesting for a carpenter-joiner who has moved into management, a site foreman looking for a more stable framework, or a former general contractor who wants to stay close to construction without continuing to bear all the pressure of a complete job site.

Work Environment
This role is really focused on supervising production in a factory. It is not a traditional job site position.

The selected person will work directly on the production floor, in a modern, ergonomic, and operations-focused environment. The office is located directly on the production line to stay close to the teams and daily issues.

The position will particularly suit someone who wants to stay connected to the concrete, the teams, and the quality of execution, while enjoying a more stable, structured, and predictable environment than a traditional job site.

Benefits
  • Salary between $80,000 and $90,000, depending on experience
  • Possibility of slightly exceeding for a very strong candidate
  • Permanent full-time position
  • Day schedule, Monday to Thursday from 7:00 AM to 4:15 PM
  • Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • 4 weeks of vacation
  • Group insurance
  • Group RRSP and DPSP
  • Job stability year-round
  • Technological and ergonomic indoor environment
  • Factory focused on health and safety
  • Diverse projects
  • Well-established Quebec family business
  • Concrete, human role close to operations
